Since then the group has been joined by several new members:

- Jason Chirakadavil, post-doc on the TransfoConflict project.
- Anne-Sophie Godeux, as manager of the Ab-One project, helped by Corentin Escobar as lab technician.
- Léa Bednarczuk, as a PhD student recruited on the VetAgro Sup fellowship
- Julie Plantade, as a PhD student after she obtained a PhD fellowship from the E2M2 doctoral school

Congratulations to Anne-Sophie and Maria-Halima (corr. author) for this really nice paper on the consequence of acquisition of the AbaR MGE in Acinetobacter. To achieve this they have become the masters of genome editing in A. baumannii!

New PhD student

Maria-Halima Laaberki, a researcher/lecturer from the National Veterinary School of Lyon (VetAgro Sup) is joining the lab. She is interested in the mechanisms of horizontal gene transfer in bacterial pathogens that are found both in the veterinary and human clinics.

BSL2 lab expansion

After a long wait our project of a BSL2 lab expansion is now a reality!
This renovated room will extend the current BSL2 lab by 20m2 and will house our two BSL2 cabinets.
